Terrorist propaganda and current trends

Abstract:

Cílem kvalifikační práce na téma Teroristická propaganda a trendy současné doby je krom definice příslušných pojmů a přiblížení tématiky zejména definice současných trendů teroristické propagandy, zhodnocení jejich rizik a nastínění jejich aktuální popřípadě zamýšlené regulace ze strany mezinárodních organizací a států. Teoretická část práce je věnována definici jednotlivých pojmů, jako je propaganda či terorismus. Zkoumána je i příslušná typologie a historie pojmů včetně zmínění vývoje stěžejních platforem pro šíření propagandy. Praktická část práce se zabývá samotnými trendy jako je odstrašivost či vzrůstající míra násilí, kdy většina ze sledovaných trendů má souvislost s fenoménem globalizace. V rámci této části práce jsou též zkoumány následky sledovaných trendů a prezentovány v současné době či v historii aplikované způsoby regulace teroristické propagandy, včetně případných plánů v této oblasti do budoucna.

Abstract:

The aim of the qualification thesis on Terrorist Propaganda and Contemporary Trends is, besides defining the relevant terms and introducing the topic, to define the current trends of terrorist propaganda, to evaluate their risks and to outline their current or intended regulation by international organizations and states. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of individual terms such as propaganda or terrorism. The relevant typology and history of the terms are also examined, including a brief description of the development of the main platforms for the dissemination of propaganda. The practical part of the thesis examines the trends themselves, such as deterrence or increasing levels of violence, where most of the observed trends are related to the phenomenon of globalisation. This part of the thesis also studies the consequences of the observed trends and presents currently or historically applied ways of regulating terrorist propaganda, including possible future plans in this area.
