The possibilities of anizometropia and iatrogenic presbyopia correction in infant patient after congenital unilateral cataract surgery

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou možností korekce anizometropie a iatrogenní presbyopie u dětského pacienta, kterému byla operačně odstraněna kongenitální jednostranná katarakta. V současné době je možné tuto nastalou anizometropii řešit několika způsoby a to buď korekcí pomocí brýlové čočky, korekcí pomocí kontaktní čočky nebo pomocí implantace umělé nitrooční čočky. Stejně tak lze i různými způsoby korigovat iatrogenní presbyopii. První část této bakalářské práce tvoří úvodní kapitoly, které se zabývají anatomií a embryologií oční čočky a dále také obecnými poznámkami ke kataraktě, anizometropii, anizeikonii a iatrogenní presbyopii. Následující kapitoly již popisují možné způsoby korekce z hlediska jejich konkrétních výhod a nevýhod a dále také přibližují např. vliv na kvalitu vidění u dětského pacienta, specifika aplikace kontaktních čoček nebo implantace umělé nitrooční čočky u takovéhoto pacienta. V závěru práce je zařazena kazuistika, která se této problematiky týká.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on problems of correction of anizometropia and iatrogenic presbyopia in infant patient with surgically removed congenital unilateral cataract. Nowadays there are some possibilies of solving this anizometropia. The possibilities are correction with spectacle lens, correction with contact lens or implantation of intraocular lens. It is also possible to correct iatrogenic presbyopia in various ways. The first part of this bachelor thesis contains introductory chapters dealing with an anathomy and embryology of the lens as well as with the general notes about cataract, anizomterpia, anizeikonia and iatrogenic presbyopia. Following chapters describe possibilities of correction in terms of view of their concrete advantages and disadvantages. It also describes for example their influence on the child’s vision quality, specification of application of contact lenses or implantation of intraocular lens in such a patient. In the conclusion of the thesis is a case history relating to this topic.
