V operní tvorbě E. F. Buriana figurují tři opery s mastičkářským námětem. V prvé řadě jde o operu buffa Mistr Ipokras, mastičkář drkolenský (1928), která vznikla pro divadlo Dada a odrážel se v ní přístup avantgardy, dadaismu a typ představení revue (libretisté Josef Trojan a Václav Lacina). Abstract:
The opera works by E. F. Burianain clude three operas on the „quack doctor“ theme. Firstly, it is the opera buffa Mistr Ipokras, mastičkář drkolenský (1928); which was created for Dada theatre and reflected the avantgarda and dadaistic approachand revue as the thetype of performance (libreto writers Josef Trojan a Václav Lacina).
