Media image of seniors in the context of social work in public media.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na to, jak je prezentovaná sociální práce se seniory jakožto klienty sociálních služeb ve zpravodajských relacích veřejnoprávních médií. Obsahem teoretické části je charakteristika sociálních služeb věnující se seniorům. Dále rizikům, se kterými mohou senioři setkat v rámci mediálního prostoru. Rovněž popisu situací prezentovaných v událostech České televize a ve zpravodajství Českého rozhlasu Radiožurnál. Výzkumná část obsahuje vymezení mé pozice vůči organizacím, ve kterých byl výzkum proveden, odpovědi klientů získaných prostřednictvím rozhoru nad situací prezentovanou ve veřejnoprávních médiích. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, jak senioři jako klienti sociálních služeb vnímají Mediální obraz sociální práce se seniory ve veřejnoprávních médiích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on how social work with the elderly as clients of social services is presented in news reports of public media. The content of the theoretical part is the characteristics of social services dedicated to the elderly. Furthermore, the risks that seniors may encounter within the media space are discussed, as well as the description of situations presented in the events of Czech Television and in the news coverage of the Czech Radio Radiožurnál. The research part includes the definition of my position in relation to the organisations in which the research was conducted the answers of the clients obtained through the interview about the situation presented in the public media The aim of the research is to find out how seniors in the role of clients perceive the media image of social work in the public media.
