Analysis of Dark Tourism in Prague

Abstract:

VESELÝ Daniel Analýza Dark Turismu v Praze. Praha, 2021, 62s. Bakalářská práce. Vysoká škola hotelová. Bakalářská práce se věnuje analýze Dark Turismu v Praze. Cílem práce je identifikace možností Dark tourismu v Praze a navržení výletních či vycházkových okruhů. V rámci splnění cíle je u této práce prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření u oslovených respondentů zkoumáno povědomí o novém pojmu Dark tourism a vnímání tohoto pojmu jako specifickou formu cestovního ruchu. Samotná práce též nabízí teoretická východiska, která specifikují kategorie Dark tourismu a jsou tak využita v praktické části. Z tohoto důvodu byl v praktické části této práce proveden kvantitativní výzkum s využitím techniky dotazníkového šetření, ve kterém byly na základě vyhodnocených odpovědí navrženy vycházkové okruhy. V návrhové části bylo během analýzy zjištěno, že se v České republice nachází minimum cestovních kanceláří, které se zaměřují na Dark tourism v Praze. Hlavní nabídku ostatních českých cestovních kanceláří tvoří především nabídky poznávacích zájezdů do koncentračního tábora Osvětim v Polsku, Černobylu v Ukrajině, italských Pompejí a prohlídka domu Anne Frank v Amsterdamu.

Abstract:

VESELÝ Daniel Analysis of Dark Tourism in Prague. Prague, 2021, 62 pp. Bachelor thesis. Hotel College. The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of Dark Tourism in Prague. The aim of the work is to identify the possibilities of Dark tourism in Prague and to design excursion or walking circuits. As part of meeting the objectives, this work uses a questionnaire survey of respondents to examine the awareness of the new concept of Dark Tourism and the perception of this concept as a specific formulation of tourism. The work itself also offers a theoretical basis, which specifies the category of Dark tourism and is used in the practical part. For this reason, in the practical part of this work, quantitative research was demonstrated by using the techniques of a questionnaire survey, in which walking circuits were designed based on the evaluated answers. In the design part, it was processed during the analyzes that there is a minimal travel agency in the Czech Republic, which focuses on dark tourism in Prague. The main offer of other Czech travel agencies consists of the main offer of sightseeing tours to the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland, Chernobyl in Ukraine, Pompeii, Italy and a tour of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.
