Commented translation of a text issued by European Union

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with a translation of an text about the European Union and its analytical commentary. The thesis also includes a glossary of technical terms used in the aforementioned translation. The source text of the French to Czech translation is an excerpt from the working paper by French economist Jacques Sapir ?S?il faut sortir de l?euro...?. The analysis of the translated text includes the fields of the stylistic, syntax and lexicology which present characteristic features of the source text and their potential solutions when translating into Czech language. The thesis also mentions applied translation techniques accompanied by particular examples.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá překladem textu o Evropské unii, jeho analýzou a komentářem. Nedílnou součástí je také glosář odborných termínů, které vzešly z daného překladu. Výchozím textem pro překlad z francouzštiny do češtiny je úryvek z pracovního dokumentu francouzského ekonoma Jacquese Sapira ?S?il faut sortir de l?euro...?. Analýza přeloženého textu zahrnuje oblasti stylistiky, syntaxe a lexikologie, v nichž jsou uvedeny charakteristické jevy výchozí textu a jejich případná řešení při překladu do českého jazyka.
