Female Perspective on War (M. Akhmedova, Zhenskiy chechenskiy dnevnik)

Abstract:

Abstract: The purpose of this thesis is to approach the poetics of Marina Akhmedova by analysis of her book, which describes incidents of the first Chechen war. This view of the war belongs especially to women, first of all to the female writer, and secondly to the female war reporter and photographer, whose story became the pattern for a book. The thesis describes the connection between the real photography and fiction. It examines whether or not it is photography, what transmits emotions and information to its observer, and whether it is the text which gives the meaning to the photography. Finally, this thesis gives a brief insight into aspects of journalism, especially the so-called "Gonzo-journalism ', features of which are mixed in the book with pure fiction.

Abstract:

Anotace: Cílem této práce je přiblížit poetiku Mariny Achmedovové analýzou její knihy, pojednávající o událostech první čečenské války. Tento pohled na válku náleží v textu především ženě. V první řadě spisovatelce, v druhé řadě válečné redaktorce a fotografce, jejíž příběh se stal knize předlohou. Právě otázkou spojení fiktivního slova a dokumentární fotografie se bakalářská práce zabývá. Je zkoumáno, zdali je to fotografie, která svému pozorovateli předává informace a emoce, anebo je to právě text, který ji dodává význam. V neposlední řadě je objektem zájmu této práce stručné nahlédnutí do aspektů žurnalistiky, a to především tzv. “gonzo-žurnalistiky”, jejíž prvky se v knize mísí s čistě uměleckým pojetím textu.
