Stupava fakes - the past and the present

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem bakalářské práce jsou tzv. Stupavská falza. Jde o kameny, do kterých byly vyryty náboženské motivy a písmo se vztahem k hrobu arci- biskupa Velké Moravy, Metoděje. Kameny byly nalezeny v letech 1932 a 1933 při výkopech, které v lese nad obcí Stupava na Uherskohradišťsku prováděla jasnovidka Klementína Maštalířová. Vzbudily velkou pozornost, vyjadřovala se k nim řada laických badatelů i významných vědců. Ti označili kameny za falza. Bakalářská práce obsahuje všechny dostupné dokumenty, včetně dosud nepublikovaných, které pocházejí z pozůstalosti amatérského archeologa Františka Adámka.

Abstract:

The main theme of this bachelor dissertation are the so-called Stupava forgeries. They are stones into which religious motifs and script, which had connection with the grave of Great Moravian Archbishop – Methodius, were engraved. The stones were found in the years 1932 and 1933 during excavations, which were done by a visionary – Klementína Maštalířová, in a forest above the Stupava village in the Uherské Hradiště region. They attracted a great attention, many amateur researchers as well as distinguished scientists gave their opinions on the stones. However, the latter described them as forgeries. This bachelor dissertation contains all available documents, including those which have not been published till today and which come from the inheritance of an amateur archaeologist František Adámek.
