The Dysfunctional Family Model in Ian McEwan's Novels

The Dysfunctional Family Model in Ian McEwan's Novels
Abstract:
Abstract:
This thesis introduces some selected novels by Ian McEwan, namely On Chesil Beach, The Cement Garden and Atonement, and focuses on they way the family dysfunctionality model is employed in them. The main aim is to prove that the distorted family background often negatively influences the characters's further psychological development and predestines them to fail in their own relationships.
