Spirituality of pilgrimage: Analysis of lived experience of pilgrims

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá spiritualitou, putováním a prožitou zkušeností poutníků. Pro zkoumání individuální zkušenosti poutníka bylo použito kvalitativní výzkumné metody interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy (IPA). Tato metoda má kořeny v hermeneutice a fenomenologii a lze ji dobře využít v sociálně-pedagogickém výzkumu, kde nám umožňuje proniknout do zkušeností jedinců a jejich významů. Skrze IPA je možné nahlédnout do významů lidské zkušenosti z toho hlediska, jak sami respondenti vytvářejí realitu a jaký jí oni sami přikládají smysl a význam. V teoretické části se zaměřím na různorodost pojmu spiritualita, její vztah k náboženství a religiozitě, se kterými je často ztotožňována, na ukotvení v oboru sociální pedagogika a volný čas a její význam pro putování.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with spirituality and pilgrimage and experience of pilgrims. A method of qualitative research of interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) was used for examinating an individual experience of a wanderer. This method has its roots in hermeneutics and phenomenology, and can be well used in the socio-educational research which allows us to penetrate the experiences of individuals and their meanings. Through IPA it is possible to look into the meanings of human experience from the perspective of respondents themselves – how they create the reality and assign meaning and importance to it. In the theoretical part I will focus on the diversity of the concept of spirituality and its relation to religion and religiosity with which it is often identified with, for anchorage in Social Education and Leisure time and its importance for the pilgrimage.
