Strategic management with a focus on hotel operation

Abstract:

Bachelor’s dissertation deals with strategic management Mikado Hotel in Nitra. Goal of this study is to evaluate the status of strategic management Hotel Mikado by analyzing the external and internal environment and suggest ways of improving the current management situation. Depending on the vision and mission of Mikado Hotel is set hypothesis, in which we suppose that hotel Mikado, compared to its competitor hotels in Nitra has a chance to become a hotel with the highest quality services offered in the city. The theoretical part includes general information about strategic management, vision and mission of the company, also describes business environment and strategic thinking. The analytical part focuses firstly on characteristic of Mikado, its vision, mission and description of services. Futher we analyze the business environment and tourism in the city of Nitra. The final section summarizes the findings identified and proposed measures to improve strategic management of the hotel Mikado.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá strategickým manažmentom hotela Mikado v Nitre. Cieľom práce je zhodnotiť stav strategického manažmentu hotela Mikado na základe analýzy jeho externého a interného prostredia a navrhnúť možnosti zlepšenia súčasného stavu riadenia. V závislosti od vízie a poslania hotela Mikado je stanovená hypotéza, v ktorej predpokladám, že hotel Mikado, oproti jeho konkurenčným hotelom v Nitre, má šancu stať sa hotelom s najkvalitnejšími ponúkanými službami v meste. V teoretickej časti práce sú zahrnuté všeobecné informácie o strategickom manažmente, vízii a poslaní podniku, taktiež popis prostredia podniku či strategického myslenia. Analytická časť je zameraná najskôr na charakteristiku Hotela Mikado, jeho víziu, poslanie a popis poskytovaných služieb. Ďalej je prevedená analýza prostredia podniku a cestovného ruchu v meste Nitra. V záverečnej časti sú zhrnuté zistené poznatky a navrhnuté opatrenia k zlepšeniu strategického riadenia hotela Mikado.
