Abstract:
Lektiny jsou proteiny, které specificky vážou sacharidy. Uplatňují se v interakcích mezi mikroorganismy a jejich hostiteli v rámci symbiotických i parazitických vztahů. Mikroorganismy mohou využívat lektiny k adhezi na hostitelské buňky, což výrazně podporuje vznik infekce. Abstract:
Lectins are specific carbohydrate-binding proteins important in both symbiotic and parasitic interactions between microorganisms and hosts. These proteins can mediate adhesion to host cells and promote development of infections.
