Value-coloured media information in relation to the migration process

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuální a velmi řešenou problematikou migrace v souvislosti s výroky v mediálním deníku. Práce obsahuje teoretickou část, kde definujeme pojem migrace a s ní spojenou terminologii. Nalezneme zde druhy, příčiny i důsledky migrace. Zaměřujeme se na zastoupení cizinců v České republice a na názory, postoje českých obyvatel vůči imigrantům. Řešíme pojem multikulturalita a interkulturalita. Empirická část je realizována prostřednictvím obsahové analýzy textu. Cílem výzkumné části bylo zjistit, do jaké míry se změnil poměr hodnotově zabarvených informací ve článcích Mladé fronty Dnes vůči migrantům v roce 2016 a v roce 2019. Za pomoci vyhraněnosti a hodnotového zaujetí (pozitivní x neutrální x negativní). Dále je práce obohacena o doplňující výzkum rozdaný respondentům. Výsledky této práce mohou posloužit veřejnosti k zamyšlení, získání nových informací a pro vytvoření si objektivního názoru na toto téma. Téma má sociologický a kulturně-antropologický přesah.

Abstract:

This Bachelor Thesis deals with the current and debatable problematics of migration related to the statements in print medias. The Thesis consists of the theoretical part, where we define the concept of migration and its related terminology. We observe forms, causes and effects of migration. We focus on a representation of the foreigners living in the Czech Republic and on opinions, attitudes of the Czech inhabitants towards immigrants. Moreover, we clarify the concept of multiculturalism and interculturalism. The empirical part is carried out by the content analysis of the text. The aim of the research part was to investigate to what extend the ratio of value biased information in articles printed in Mladá fronta Dnes towards migrants in the year 2016 and in 2019 concerning delineation and value interest (positive x neutral x negative). Furthermore the thesis is enriched by the complementary research delivered to respondents. The outcome of this Bachelor Thesis can benefit the society with deeper reflection, acquisition of further knowledge and development of objective attitude about this matter, which has sociological and cultural-anthropological overlap.
