Implementation of automated bicycle rental points in the city of České Budějovice

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce obsahuje teorii a rozbor cyklistické infrastruktury, cyklodopravy a bike sharing systému v Českých Budějovicích. Cílem práce je zhodnocení současného stavu a analýza budoucího rozvoje cyklistické dopravy a navržení systému sdílení kol ve městě České Budějovice a v jeho okolí. Teoreticko-metodologická část se věnuje cyklistické dopravě, bike sharing systému a pojmům, které s touto problematikou souvisí. V aplikační části je uvedena stručná charakteristika a historie města České Budějovice. Ke sběru dat byla použita analýza cyklistické infrastruktury Českých Budějovic a dotazníkové šetření. Získané údaje byly analyzovány a následně vyhodnoceny. Z výsledků vyplývá, že současná infrastruktura v Českých Budějovicích je nedostatečná. Pro zlepšení cyklistické situace ve městě byl vytvořen návrh na zavedení bike sharing systému ve městě.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis contains theory and analysis of bicycle infrastrukture, cycle traffic and bike sharing system in the Ceske Budejovice. The aim is to assess the current state and future development of analysis and design of cycling and bike sharing system in the Ceske Budejovice and its sourundings. Theoretical part is devoted to bicykle traffic, bike sharing system and the concepts that related to this problem. In the application part is a brief description and history of the Ceske Budejovice. For date collection, analysis was used to cycling infrastructure of the Ceske Budejovice and the questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed and evaluated. The results show that the current infrastructure in the Ceske Budejovice is insufficient. To improve cycling conditions in the city was created the proposal to introduce bike sharing system in the city.
