Social Network Linkedin as a Space for Learning

Abstract:

Diplomová práce si klade za cíl zjistit, jak odborníci z HR využívají LinkedIn ke svému učení. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části práce nejprve popisuji charakteristiky 21. století a jejich vliv na oblast vzdělávání. Situace ve společnosti se promítá také do oblasti vzdělávání, dnes tedy hovoříme o konceptu workplace learning. Toto učení pak probíhá na 3 úrovních – individuální, skupinové a organizační. Učení se ve skupině pak vysvětluje teorie komunit praxe, kterou lze aplikovat jak na prostředí pracoviště, tak na učení na sociálních sítích. Komunitě praxe online se věnuji v závěrečné kapitole, konkrétně pak profesní síti LinkedIn. Část empirická popisuje postup výzkumného šetření v rámci kvalitativního výzkumu. Jako design výzkumu byla použita netnografie.

Abstract:

This Master thesis puts an emphasis on using LindkedIn by HR experts for learning. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the empirical one. Characteristics of the 21st century and their influence on a field of education are described in the theoretical part. The situation in current society is also reflected in the field of education, which is considered to be a concept of workplace learning.This learning takes place in three stages – individual, group and organizational. Group learning explains the communities of practice theory which can be applicable either on work place, or social networks learning. The community of practice is described in the final chapter, especially the business and employment-oriented social network LindkeIn. The empiciral part describes stages of qualitative research. The netnography was used as a design of the research.
