Accuracy of rectal and tympanic thermometers used in the pediatric ward

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce nazvaná ?Přesnost měření u rektálních a tympanálních teploměrů využívaných na dětském oddělení? je rozdělena na dvě části ? teoretickou a výzkumnou. Teoretická část se zabývá termoregulací člověka, tepelným jádrem, tepelným obalem, tepelným stresem, termogenezí, tvorbou tepla u dětí, mechanismy výdeje tělesného tepla, fyzikálními mechanismy transportu tepla, tělesnou teplotou, měřením tělesné teploty, druhy teploměrů, typy horeček, anatomií zevního zvukovodu, bubínku a konečníku. Ve výzkumné části jsou porovnány výsledky měření teploměrů podle místa měření používaných na dětském oddělení a zkoumány odchylky naměřených hodnot, porovnán jejich uživatelský komfort a cena teploměrů. K měření byly použity teploměry: ušní ? elektronický a infračervený, rektální ? elektronický a digitální.

Abstract:

This thesis called ?Accuracy of rectal and tympanic thermometers used in the pediatric ward? is dividend into two parts ? theoretical and experimental. The theoretical part deals with human termoregulation, thermal core, thermal packaging, thermal stress, thermogenesis, production of heat in children, dispensing mechanisms of body heat, physical mechanisms of transport of heat, body temperature, measurement of body temperature, type sof thermometers, type sof fever, anatomy of the external ear canal, tympanic membrane and rektum. In the experimental part of the measurement results are compared to place of thermometers used to measure children's department and investigated deviations of the measured values, compared to their user-friendliness and price thermometers. The measurements were taken by thermometers: ear - electronic and infrared, rectal - electronic and digital.
