Disertační práce pojednává o Friedrichu Ratzelovi (1844-1904), německém geografovi konce 19. století, a jeho Politické geografii. Autor se zaměřil na posouzení jeho příspěvku vznikající moderní humánní geografii, zvláště pak antropogeografii a politické geografii. Ovšem s ohledem na to, že jméno F. Ratzela bývá častokrát spojováno hlavně s geopolitikou a Lebensraumem, jakož i se sociálním darwinismem …more

The dissertation deals with Friedrich Ratzel (1844-1904), a German geographer of the late 19th century, and his Political Geography. The author focused on the assessment of his contribution to the emerging modern human geography, especially anthropogeography and political geography.
