Consumer prices, development and stability

Abstract:

The theses deals with the descriptive analysis of consumer prices development, especially in 2007-2011, and price stability. The first part describes the characteristics of the markets, which is focused on products and services. Every market and the seller determines the price of the product od service itself. It is characterized by price and mentioned different approches to pricing, theory of the value and price and classification of the consumer basket. The second part includes characteristic of the inflation, types of inflation, price stability, as well as the measurement of inflation by consumer price indices. The first two parts of the thesis describe theoretically the main concepts related to commodity prices, inflation and consumer prices. The third part is treated by inflation from establishment of the republic until 2006 and then is processed by the current development in 2011 with consumer prices development for each department of consumer basket. In this section I compare the evolution of inflation in the countries of the European union, namely the V4 countries and selected countries of the EU. The last section includes suggestions and recommendation on maintaining price stability.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá popisnou analýzou vývoja spotrebiteľských cien, hlavne v rokoch 2007-2011 a cenovou stabilitou. V prvej časti je popísaná charakteristika trhov, na ktorých sa sústreďujú tovary a služby. Každý trh a predajca si určuje cenu svojho tovaru alebo služby sám. Takisto je charakterizovaná cena a sú uvedené rôzne prístupy na určovanie cien, teória hodnoty a ceny či klasifikácia spotrebného koša. V druhej časti je zahrnutá charakteristika inflácie, druhy inflácie, cenová stabilita, ako aj meranie inflácie pomocou indexov spotrebiteľských cien. Cieľom prvých dvoch častí diplomovej práce je teoreticky popísať hlavné pojmy týkajúce sa cien tovarov, inflácie a spotrebiteľských cien. V tretej časti je spracovaný vývoj inflácie od vzniku republiky až po rok 2006 a neskôr je spracovaný aj súčasný vývoj do roku 2011 spolu s vývoj spotrebiteľských cien každého odboru spotrebného koša. V tejto časti som porovnávala vývoj inflácie s krajinami Európskej únie, konkrétne s krajinami V4 alebo vybranými krajinami EÚ. V poslednej časti sú zahrnuté návrhy a odporúčania na udržanie cenovej stability.
