Ink drying on thin printing papers

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto práce bolo zistiť do akej miery má špeciálny roztok na úpravu povrchu papiera vplyv na dobu zasychania farby na tenkých tlačových papieroch. Najskôr boli vyhodnotené tie vlastnosti papiera, ktoré priamo či nepriamo súvisia so zasychaním farieb pri tlači. Ďalej boli prevedené testy zasychania s dvoma priamymi farbami na tenkých tlačových papieroch. Následne bolo testovanie zamerané na papiere s aplikáciou prípravku na úpravu povrchu papiera v rôznych koncentráciách a sledovaný vplyv na dobu zasychania farby. Jednoznačne bola určená tlačová farba aj strana papiera, ktorá vykazovala najrýchlejšie zasychanie spomedzi testovaných vzoriek. Z výsledku laboratórneho merania bolo zistené, že dodaný prípravok nemá priaznivý vplyv na dobu zasychania, skôr tento proces spomaľuje, čo je pri tlači nežiaduce.

Abstract:

The aim of this project was to find out to what measure has a special reagent to modification of paper surface on the time of inks drying on thin printing papers. At first, those paper characteristics were evaluated, which directly or indirectly relate with inks drying during printing. Then, drying tests were made with two PANTONE inks on thin printing papers. Consequently the testing was focused on papers with application based on modification of paper surface in different concentrations and the effect to the time of inks drying was monitoring. Ink and side of paper expressly figure out, which allocate the quickest drying from testing samples. It was discovered that supplied preparation does not have beneficial effect on the time of drying, rather this process retard, what is unwelcome during printing.
