Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the contemporary linguistic situation in Cyprus. The historical development of the Cypriot dialect, leading to the present situation, as well as its linguistic characteristics will be described. The core of the thesis consists of introducing particular variants of the Cypriot dialect and their use in various situations.
Abstract:
Magisterská diplomová práca sa zaoberá problematikou jazykovej situácie na súčasnom Cypre. Bude v nej opísaný historický vývoj cyperského dialektu, ktorý vedie k súčasnému stavu, ako aj jeho jazyková charakteristika. Jadro práce tvorí predstavenie jednotlivých variantov cyperského dialektu a ich používanie v rozličných situáciách.
