Ceramic plant in Chlumcany from nationalization to the present

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o Chlumčanských keramických závodech, n. p. od jejich znárodnění v roce 1945 až do současnosti. Podává stručné informace o historii závodů od jejich založení roku 1873 do roku 1945. Přináší informace o znárodnění, organizační struktuře a vedení. Informuje o těžbě kaolinu, jeho zpracování, o výrobě a prodeji kaolinových výrobků. Zaměřuje se na samotné zaměstnance Chlumčanských keramických závodů a jejich sociální zabezpečení. Popisuje jejich povinnosti a práva, podmínky práce, péči o zdraví, stravování, vzdělávání učňů, politické a ideologické působení, ale i rekreaci a možnosti trávení volného času. V závěru se nacházejí výpovědi několika bývalých i současných zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the Ceramic Plants of Chlumcany from their nationalization in 1945 until the present day. It provides brief information on the history of the plants from their establishment in 1873 to 1945. Subsequently, the thesis becomes more detailed and provides information on their nationalization, organizational structure and management. It informs about the mining of kaolin, its processing, the production and sale of kaolin products. Subsequently, the work focuses on the employees of the Ceramic plants works themselves and their social security. It describes their duties and rights, working conditions, health care, meals, training of apprentices, political and ideological influence, but also recreation and leisure opportunities. At the end of the thesis, there are statements from several former and current employees.
