Evaluation of investments efficiency (Net present value, Return of investment, Internal rate of retun)

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku hodnocení efektivnosti investičního projektu na základě dynamických metod hodnocení. V teoretické části je vysvětlena jedna z nejdůležitějších činností dlouhodobé prosperity - investiční rozhodování. Po identifikaci peněžních toků následuje charakteristika jednotlivých metod hodnocení efektivnosti investičních projektů, jejich důkladné rozebrání, včetně jejich výhod a nevýhod a v neposlední řadě také riziko spjaté s investováním. Praktická část obsahuje posouzení efektivnosti zavedení elektronického mýta v České republice, jež se stalo od roku 2007 nedílnou součástí naší silniční sítě. Zhodnocení je provedeno na základě dynamických metod hodnocení efektivnosti investic (čistá současná hodnota, vnitřní výnosové procento, diskontovaná doba návratnosti a index ziskovosti). Je zde také počítáno s odlišnými peněžními toky ve formě varianty pesimistické, resp. optimistické. Závěrem je vypracováno celkové shrnutí výsledků s porovnáním všech variant vývoje peněžních toků.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on evaluating the effectiveness of the investment project on the basis of dynamic methods of assessment. In the theoretical part is explained by one of the most important activities of long-term prosperity - an investment decision. After the identification of cash flows follow by the characteristic of methods the effectiveness of investment projects, a thorough disassembly, including their advantages and disadvantages and the risk associated with investing. The practical part includes an assessment of the effectiveness of the introduction of electronic tolls in the Czech Republic, which became in 2007 an integral part of our road network. Evaluation is based on dynamic methods to assess the effectiveness of investments (net present value, internal rate of return, discounted payback period and profitability index). There is also the counting is different cash flows in the forms pessimistic variant and optimistic variant. Finally, a summary is prepared by comparing the results with all the variants of development of cash flows.
