Mobility of Older Adults as a Topic for Teaching about Space

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem mobility na individuální vnímání a osvojování prostoru seniory. V rešeršní části jsou pomocí odborné literatury rozebrána témata prostoru, mobility ve stáří a vlivu prostředí na pohyb seniorů. Tato témata vytvořila rámec pro konstrukci praktické části. V ní byly pomocí rozhovorů se seniory zjišěny informace o jejich mobilitních omezeních a taktikách, které ovlivňují jejich pohyb prostorem. V závěru práce byl vytvořen pracovní list, který slouží jako podklad pro žáky při výuce o prostoru.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of mobility on the individual perception and acquisition of space by the elderly. In the research part the topics of space, mobility in old age and the influence of the environment on the movement of seniors are discussed with the help of literature. These topics formed the framework for the construction of the practical part. In it, information about seniors' mobility constraints and tactics that affect their movement through space were elicited through interviews with seniors. At the end of the thesis, a worksheet was created to serve as a basis for teaching students about space.
