Islam and Islamism in the Czech secular state.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá historickým i současným výskytem islámu na území České republiky První část práce se zaměřuje na charakteristiku islámu jako pojmu a problematice interpretace výkladu tohoto náboženství. Představuje kulturu a životní styl muslimů se vším, co s sebou praktikování této u nás menšinové víry přináší. Druhá část práce představuje organizace slučující muslimy u nás, jejich dlouholetý vývoj a nynější fungování, zabývá se sekularizací, pojmem sekulární stát a právy muslimských migrantů v České republice. Druhá část práce je také doplněna o rozhovory s muslimy žijícími na našem území.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis focuses on both historical and contempolary occurrence of Islam in the area of the Czech Republic. First part of the thesis discusses the characteristic of Islam as a phenomenon and the issue of interpretation of this religion, which is minority in the Czech Republic. Muslim culture and the life style are introduced. The second part presents organisations which merge Muslims in our country, their long term development and currant situation of these organisations. It deals with secularisation, the concept of secular state and the rights of Islamic migrants in the Czech Republic. This part also includes interviews with Muslims living in our country.
