The effects of industrialization in the 19th century on the inhabitants of selected cities in the Ruhr area

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis entitled "The effects of industrialization in the 19th century on the inhabitants aforementioned cities in the Ruhr area" deals with the influences of industry on selected cities and especially the population living in them in the Ruhr area in the 19th century and early 20th century. The aim of my work was to find out if it has changed or how the situation of the population in the Ruhr area and in selected cities has changed. Did industry, which began to develop in the early 19th century, and opencast mining, have a major impact on the existence of cities in the area? In my work, I wanted to find out whether the developing industry has a positive or rather negative impact on the population and thus the economy of cities in the area. At the beginning of the work I present the basic concepts on the topic of industry and the introduction of the Ruhr area. I also deal with the development of the population in selected cities and find out how the industry could have affected the inhabitants of the surrounding cities in the Ruhr. At the end, I deal with how the industry has affected the development of cities and why the cities and their structural change and population have had an impact.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce s názvem " Die bewohnerbezogenen Auswirkungen der Industrialisierung im 19. Jahrhundert auf die ausgewählten Städte im Ruhrgebiet " se zabývá vlivy průmyslu na vybraná města a především v nich žijící obyvatelstvo v oblasti Porúří v 19. století a na začátku 20. století. Cílem mojí práce bylo zjistit, jestli se změnila, popř. jak se změnila situace obyvatel v oblasti Porúří a ve vybraných městech. Měl průmysl, začínající se rozvíjet začátkem 19. století, a povrchová těžba zásadní vliv na existenci měst v této oblasti? Ve své práci jsem chtěl zjistit, jestli rozvíjející průmysl má pozitivní nebo spíše negativní vliv na obyvatelstvo a tedy ekonomiku měst v dané oblasti. Na začátku práce představuji základní pojmy k tématu průmysl a představení oblasti Porúří. Dále se zabývám vývojem počtu obyvatel ve vybraných městech a zjišťuji, jaký mohl mít průmysl vliv na obyvatele okolních měst v Porúří. Ke konci se zabývám tím, jakým způsobem zasáhl průmysl vývoj měst a z jakého důvodu došlo k vlivům na města a jejich strukturální změnu a obyvatelstvo.
