Influence of canistherapy to fine motor skills of cerebral palsied children

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o možnosti využití canisterapie k rozvoji jemné motoriky dětí s dětskou mozkovou obrnou, umístěných v Ústavu sociální péče ve Vilšanech na Ukrajině. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na problematiku canisterapie, její historii, formy a možnosti využití u dětí s dětskou mozkovou obrnou. Dále se teoretická část práce zaměřuje na problematiku dětské mozkové obrny a na možnosti testování jemné motoriky dětí s touto diagnózou. Blíže představeny jsou některé ze speciálních testů určených k hodnocení jemné motoriky dětí s dětskou mozkovou obrnou. V praktické části práce je uvedena metodika testování pomocí Quality of Upper Extremity Skills Test, metodika práce se psem na Ukrajině, postup při výběru dětí pro individuální canisterapii a kazuistiky dvou vybraných dětí. V závěru praktické části jsou rozebrány změny v hodnocení Quality of Upper Extremity Skills Test po ukončení canisterapii a uvedeny další účinky canisterapie na děti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of canistherapy to develop fine motor skills of cerebral palsied children living in the centre of the social care, in Vilšany, Ukraine. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical one focuses on the issues of canistherapy, its history, forms and possibilities of its use in cerebral palsied children treatment. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on the problem of cerebral palsy and fine motor testing children with this diagnosis. Some of the special tests designed to assess the fine motor skills of cerebral palsied children are presented as well. The methodology of using the Quality of Upper Extremity Skills Test In the practical part is presented as well as the methodology of working with dog. The procedure of children selection for the individual canistherapy and casuistry of two selected children are in the practical part included. Changes in assessment of Quality of Upper Extremity Skills Test after canistherapy and other effects of canistherapy to children are discussed in the end of the practical part.
