Abstract:

Práca skúma súčasne dostupné nástroje používané na vytváranie interaktívnej fikcie, a navrhuje nové riešenie pre tvorbu interaktívnych príbehov, ako aj pre ich hranie. Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je vyvinúť Restful Web API na vytváranie, úpravu a hranie interaktívnej fikcie. Navrhované riešenie umožňuje autorovi hry vytvárať príbehové uzly, ktoré obsahujú popisy scén a možnosti, ktoré môže hráč zvoliť na napredovanie v hre. Okrem toho aplikácia zhromažďuje údaje o používateľských vstupoch, aby uľahčila komunikáciu medzi používateľom a autorom. Na prezentáciu API budú vyvinuté dva príklady webových používateľských rozhraní.

Abstract:

The thesis investigates the currently available tools used for creating interactive fiction games and proposes a new solution for facilitating both story editing and gameplay. The goal of this thesis is to develop a Restful Web API application for creating, editing, and playing an interactive fiction game. The proposed solution allows the game's author to create story nodes that include scene descriptions and options the player can take to progress the game. Additionally, the application collects data on user inputs to facilitate communication between the user and the author. Two example web-based UIs will be developed to showcase the API.
