Social-therapeutic workshop and its importance in selected areas of life of persons with disabilities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma „Sociálně terapeutická dílna a její význam na vybrané oblasti života osob se zdravotním postižením“ pojednává o osobách se zdravotním postižení, které nemohou najít vhodné pracovní místo na otevřeném ani chráněném trhu práce. Teoretická část práce se zabývá vymezením zdravotního postižení a charakteristikou a klasifikací mentálního a tělesného postižení. Dále pojednává o pohledu majoritní společnosti na člověka se zdravotním postižením, zaměřuje se na legislativu upravující práva a svobody osob se zdravotním postižením a sociální služby pro osoby s mentálním a tělesným postižením. Závěr teoretické části se zabývá problematikou pracovního uplatnění a zaměstnáváním osob se zdravotním postižením. Představeny jsou nové formy podpory v oblasti zaměstnávání osob se zdravotním postižením a teoretickou část uzavírají informace o sociálně terapeutických dílnách. Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit, jak aktivity sociálně terapeutické dílny ovlivňují vybrané oblasti života osob se zdravotním postižením, jaký má sociálně-terapeutická dílna význam v životě klientů a zda jsou klienti, se službou sociálně-terapeutických dílen spokojeni. K dosažení cíle práce bylo využito kvalitativní metodologie. Pomocí pozorování a rozhovorů s pracovníky a klienty sociálně terapeutické dílny, bylo dosaženo odpovědí na výzkumné otázky, které byly koncipovány tak, aby naplnily stanovený cíl práce.

Abstract:

My thesis on the topic „Social-therapeutic workshop and it´s importance in selected areas of life of persons with disabilities” deals with persons with disabilities who can´t find a suitable job in the open or protected labor market. The theoretical part deals with the definition of disability and the characterization and classification of mental and physical disability. It also deals, how major society looks for a person with disabilities. Next chapter focus on legislation and the rights of persons with disabilities and social services for people with mental and physical disabilities. Conclusion the theoretical part deals with employment of persons with disabilities. Next there are introduce new forms of support in the employment of people with disabilities and theoretical information about socially therapeutic workshops. The goal of practical part was to find out how activities of therapeutic workshops affect selected areas of life of people with disabilities, how importance have socio-therapeutic workshop to lives of clients and whether clients are satisfied with socio-therapeutic workshops. To achieve the goals of this work I used qualitative methodology. Using observation and interviews with staff and clients social therapeutic workshops, I achieved answers to research questions witch were designed to fulfill the aim of the work.
