3D measurement of gears

Abstract:

V této práci je popsána problematika 3D skenování, uplatňovaná v reverzním inženýrství, v kterém se převážně používá jako zpětná kontrola tvarové přesnosti vůči výrobnímu výkresu, nebo pro digitalizaci vytvořeného dílu. Cílem práce bylo zjištění možností a zejména přesnosti 3D skenování čelních ozubených kol se šikmými zuby. Geometrie ozubeného kola vychází z mnoha parametrů, které se obtížně zjišťují a jsou nezbytné pro případnou výrobu nového dílu. V případě dostatečné přesnosti 3D skenování by mohla výroba náhradního kola probíhat na CNC obráběcím stroji z upravených naskenovaných dat bez nutné znalosti parametrů ozubení. Výsledkem této práce bylo zjistit, zdali se tato technologie dá použít v průmyslu při výrobě ozubených kol, či je ještě potřeba počkat na další vývoj.

Abstract:

The aim of the research is to describe problems of 3D measuring. The 3D measuring is used in reverse engineering to verify measurements of final products. Another use of 3D measuring is to create the 3D model of the certain part. The aim of the work was to find out the abilities and accuracy of 3D measuring of the front gear with the oblique teeth. It is hard to determine the geometry of the gears, but this geometry is very important for manufacturing a copy of the measured gear. If we are going to get precise measurement of the gear then we can use those to manufacture new gear on the CNC machine without knowledge about parameters of the gear. The result of the work was to find out if we can use this engineering technology in the industry for machining gears, or we should wait for further development.
