Influence of Miroslavský pond on water quality in Miroslavka stream

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na posouzení vlivu čistírny odpadních vod a následného vlivu Miroslavského rybníka v obci Miroslav na dočištění kvality vody v řece Miroslavce. Celý výzkum probíhal během roku 2021 od dubna do prosince, výzkum byl založen na terénním monitoringu, kde byly sledovány tyto ukazatele: vodivost, teplota, pH, obsah kyslíku a na jednom místě také průhlednost. Během celého období byly provedeny tři hlavní odběry vzorků vody ze všech předem určených míst. Vzorky poté byly podrobeny chemické analýze v laboratoři Oddělení rybářství a hydrobiologie Mendelovy univerzity v Brně. Během práce v laboratoři byly stanoveny tyto fyzikálně-chemické faktory vody: celkový dusík (N celk.), celkový fosfor (P celk.), spotřeba chemická kyslíku dichromanem (CHSKCr), biochemická spotřeba kyslíku za pět dní (BSK5), chlorofyl-a, amoniakální dusík (N-NH4+), dusitanový dusík (N-NO2-), chloridy (Cl-), kyselinová neutralizační kapacita (KNK), vápník (Ca2+), nerozpuštěné látky (NL), celkové železo (Fe celk.), počet bakterie a abundance fytoplanktonu. Cílem výzkumu bylo zhodnotit vliv čistírny odpadních vod Miroslav a Miroslavského rybníka na kvalitu vody řeky Miroslavky pomocí výše zmíněných ukazatelů. Z výsledků bylo zjištěno, že jako nejhorší ukazatele výzkumu byly: konduktivita, rozpuštěný kyslík, celkový dusík, celkový fosfor, chemická spotřeba kyslíku, biochemická spotřeba kyslíku za pět dní, chlorofyl-a, amoniakální dusík, dusitanový dusík a nerozpuštěné látky. Při několika stanoveních během výzkumu došlo k přesažení maximálních limitů a vzorky tak byly zařazeny do V. třídy kvality vody (velmi silně znečištěná voda). Nejhorších výsledků z celého výzkumu bylo dosaženo poslední odběrový termín 2. 12. 2021. V příloze č. 1 je vidět, že většina špatných výsledků byla zjištěna na prvních třech odběrových místech. Na zbylých dvou u většiny parametrů můžeme vidět zlepšení. To znamená, že Miroslavský rybník rozhodně má pozitivní vliv na kvalitu vody v řece Miroslavka.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis assesses the impact of the sewage treatment plant on the water-quality in the pond of Miroslav and in the Miroslavka stream. The whole research took place from April to December of 2021 and was based on the field observation of the following indicators: conductivity, temperature, pH, oxygen saturation and at one location the transparency of the water as well. During the observed period in total three samplings from the in advance defined locations. After that, all the samples were put to the chemical analysis in the laboratories of the Fishing and Hydrobiology Department at the Mendel University of Brno. During the laboratory testing the following physically chemical factors of the water were defined: total nitrogen (N tot.). total phosphorus (P tot.), chemical oxygen demand of dichromate (CHSKCr), biochemical demand of oxygen during five days (BSK5), chlorophyll-a, ammonia nitrogen (N-NH4+), nitrite nitrogen (N-NO2-), chlorides (Cl-), acid neutralising capacity (ANC), calcium (Ca2+), indissoluble substances, total iron (Fe tot.), number of bacteria and phytoplankton abundance. In conclusion, the main aim of the research was to evaluate the impact of the sewage treatment plant on the water quality in the pond of Miroslav and in the Miroslavka stream from the point of the above-mentioned and described indicators. The results showed that the worst indicators of the research were: conductivity, dissolved oxygen, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand in five days, chlorophyll-a, ammonia nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen and undissolved substances. In several determinations during the research, the maximum limits were exceeded and the samples were included in the 5th class of water quality (very heavily polluted water). The worst results from the entire research were achieved by the last sampling date of 2 December 2021. Attachment number 1 shows that most of the bad results were found at the first three sampling points. We can see an improvement in the other two for most parameters. This means that Miroslavský pond definitely has a positive effect on the water quality in the Miroslavka river.
