Communication skills of a child with a cochlear implant

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje analýze komunikačních dovedností u dětí s kochleárním implantátem. Cílem mé bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak probíhá rozvoj komunikačních dovedností dětí v pedagogickém a domácím prostředí v závislosti na provedené kochleární implantaci a jejím vlivu na možnosti výchovy a vzdělávání. Tato práce se teoretické části se zabývá obecným vymezením problematiky sluchového postižení, diagnostikou a následnou léčbou sluchového postižení, dále pak konkrétním zaměřením na kochleární implantát, jeho indikovaná aplikace, využití a způsoby komunikace u dětí a v neposlední řadě specifikami a možnostmi vzdělávání žáků s kochleárním implantátem. V praktické části se tato bakalářská práce zabývá výzkumem v podobě dotazníkového šetření. Cílem je zjistit zkušenosti rodičů a pedagogů s kochleárními implantáty u předškolních dětí. Dílčím cílem bude zhodnotit vliv KI na komunikaci a sociální vztahy dětí. Dalším dílčím cílem bude zjistit, v jakých oblastech života předškolních dětí po implantaci kochleárního implantátu došlo ke změnám.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of communication skills in children with cochlear implants. The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to find out how the development of communication skills of children in the pedagogical and home environment depends on the performed cochlear implantation and its influence on the possibilities of upbringing education. In the theoretical part, this bachelor thesis deals with the general definition of hearing impairment, diagnosis and subsequent treatment of hearing impairment, as well as a specific focus on cochlear implants, its indicated application, use and methods of communication in children and last but not least the specifics and possibilities of educating children with cochlear implants. . In the practical part, this bachelor thesis deals with research in the form of a questionnaire survey. The aim is to find out the experience of parents and teachers with cochlear implants in preschool children. A partial goal will be to evaluate the influence of CI on communication and social relations of children. Another partial goal will be to find out in which areas of the life of preschool children after the implantation of a cochlear implant there have been changed.
