Insurance market in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá životním pojištěním, které tvoří významnou součást pojistného trhu v ČR. V úvodních kapitolách jsem uvedl fakta z historie a vývoje životního pojištění. Popsal jsem podstatu životního pojištění a uvedl statistiky týkající se tohoto segmentu pojištění. V teoretické části přibližuji současnou roli životního pojištění na pojistném trhu. Současně popisuji některé druhy pojistných produktů. V dalších kapitolách se věnuji legislativním změnám s přímými dopady na životní pojištění. V praktické části jsem se zaměřil na postupy, poskytování informací při jeho sjednávání, a zda v obecném měřítku zprostředkovatelé postupují s odbornou péčí. Pojistný zájem, odborná péče, novela zákona o pojišťovnictví, novela zákona o pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelích a novela zákona o daních z příjmu, jsou témata, která mají přímý dopad na životní pojištění a následně na celý pojistný trh.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with life insurance, which form an important part of the insurance market in the country. In the opening chapters, I stated the facts of history and the development of life insurance. I described the essence of life insurance said the statistics regarding this insurance segment. The theoretical part describes the current role of the life insurance market. At the same time I describe some types of insurance products. In subsequent chapters deal with legislative changes with direct impact on the life insurance. In the practical part I focused on procedures, information provision during its negotiation, and whether a general scale intermediaries act with due diligence. Insurable interest, professional care, an amendment to the Insurance Act, an amendment to the Law on Insurance Intermediaries and the amendment to the Law on Income Tax, are topics that have a direct impact on the life insurance and subsequently to the entire insurance market.
