The use of canistherapy in the care of the elderly

Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá canisterapií, která využívá interakce mezi člověkem a psem k terapeutickým účelům. Teoretická část práce pojednává o historii canisterapie ve světě i v České republice, zooterapii a jejích metodách, včetně aplikace u seniorů. Zaměřuje se na význam seniorů v sociálních službách a vztah mezi seniorem a psem v canisterapii. Dále zkoumá canisterapeutický tým a jeho složení, včetně role canisterapeutického psa. Předmětem praktické části bude zjišťování toho, jak canisterapie ovlivňuje seniory prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with canister therapy, which uses human-dog interaction for therapeutic purposes. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the history of canister therapy in the world and in the Czech Republic, zootherapy and its methods, including its application in the elderly. It focuses on the importance of seniors in social services and the relationship between the senior and the dog in canister therapy. It also examines the canister therapy team and its composition, including the role of the canister therapy dog. The practical part of the course will explore how canister therapy affects seniors through semi-structured interviews.
