The reflection of relations between the zionism movement and the Czech-Jewish movement on pages of chosen periodical press of a Jewish minor in the thirtieth of the 20th century

Abstract:

Naše bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahy českožidovského a sionistického hnutí ve třicátých letech dvacátého století. V práci analyzujeme a srovnáváme zpravodajské a publicistické texty, uveřejněné v českožidovském týdeníku Rozvoj a sionistickém týdeníku Židovské zprávy. Zkoumáme postoje Čechožidů a sionistů k některým závažným společenským a politickým otázkám. Snažíme se ukázat, v čem se stanoviska obou hnutí podobala, v čem se lišila, a zda docházelo v průběhu třicátých let k jejich sbližování.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the realitions between the Czech-Jewish movement and the zionism movement in the thirtieth of the 20th century. I analyse and compare the news and the publicistic texts which were published in the Czech-Jewish weekly newspaper Rozvoj as well as the zionism weekly paper Židovské zprávy. I study the attitudes of the Czech-Jews and the Zionists towards some major community and political questions. I try to show similarity as well as discrepancy between the attitudes of the Czech-Jews and the Zionists. I am also concerned with eventual convergency of these attitudes.
