The needs of seniors in the field of active leisure time

Abstract:

Teoreticko-aplikační bakalářská práce se zabývá potřebami seniorů v oblasti aktivního trávení volného času. Cílem mé bakalářské práce je zjistit, jakým způsobem senioři mohou trávit svůj volný čas v domovech pro seniory a zpracovat návrh kvantitativního výzkumu, který pomůže zjistit, jaké jsou potřeby seniorů v oblasti aktivního trávení volného času v těchto domovech. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na vymezení základních pojmů souvisejících s problematikou seniorů, jako je stáří, senior, stárnutí, aktivní stárnutí či vliv volnočasových aktivit na seniory a potřeby seniorů. Pokračuje kapitolou Aktivní trávení volného času seniorů žijících v pobytových zařízeních sociálních služeb, ze kterých jsem pro potřeby této bakalářské práce vybrala domovy pro seniory. Proto je součástí kapitoly definování domova pro seniory a role sociálního pracovníka ve vztahu k volnočasovým aktivitám uživatelů. Závěr je věnován přehledu možných volnočasových aktivit v domovech pro seniory. Aplikační část práce obsahuje návrh kvantitativního výzkumu, skládajícího se z návrhu dotazníkového šetření zaměřeného na seniory, na jejich potřeby v oblasti aktivního trávení volného času v domovech pro seniory v okrese Nový Jičín.

Abstract:

The theoretical-application bachelor's thesis deals with the needs of seniors in the field of active leisure time. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out how seniors can spend their free time in homes for the elderly and to develop a proposal for quantitative research that will help determine the needs of seniors in the field of active leisure in these homes. The theoretical part of the work is focused on defining the basic concepts related to the issue of seniors, such as old age, senior, aging, active aging or the impact of leisure activities on seniors and the needs of seniors. It continues with the chapter Active leisure time of seniors living in residential social services facilities, from which I chose homes for the elderly for the needs of this bachelor's thesis. Therefore, it is part of the chapter defining the home for the elderly and the role of the social worker in relation to users' leisure activities. The conclusion is devoted to an overview of possible leisure activities in nursing homes. The application part of the thesis contains a proposal for quantitative research, consisting of a proposal for a questionnaire survey focused on seniors, their needs in the field of active leisure in homes for the elderly in the district of Nový Jičín.
