Lookout towers and their use in tourism

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se jako stěžejním tématem zabývá rozhlednovým cestovním ruchem, jeho stavem a vývojem a vlivy, které jsou na tomto druhu cestovního ruchu v návaznosti. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda je rozhlednový cestovní ruch samostatný, nebo je již v dnešní době spjatý s jinými druhy cestovního ruchu. Dále se v práci ptám formou dotazníkového šetření veřejnosti, co od rozhlednového ruchu očekává a zda se ho vůbec účastní. Formou řízeného rozhovoru se ptám předního českého spolku sdružujícího nadšence pro rozhledny na jejich pohled na věc a výsledné odpovědi následně komparuji v závěru své práce. První část práce se věnuje především stanovení základních pojmů a předkládá stávající situaci konkrétního mikroregionu. Situace je natolik specifická, že je třeba jí věnovat značný prostor v této práci. Další část práce se věnuje především dotazníku a řízenému rozhovoru a práci s výslednými daty. Poslední část je částí návrhovou, ve které se ze zdrojů a získaných informací pokusím vyjít se závěrem, jak si cestovní ruch v dnešní době stojí, co by bylo vhodné pro rozhlednový cestovní ruch udělat, aby přilákal více lidí a čeho se případně vyvarovat, a to i s pohledem na věc předního českého spolku Klub přátel rozhleden.

Abstract:

Lookout towers and their use in tourism This thesis is concerned with lookout tower tourism, its state and development, and the influences associated with this type of tourism. It aims to determine whether lookout tower tourism can be considered independent or whether it is dependent on other types of tourism. Furthermore, a questionnaire survey was carried out to investigate what the public expects from lookout tower tourism and whether they participate in it at all. In addition, a guided interview was conducted with the leading Czech association of lookout tower enthusiasts to find out their views on the subject. The resulting answers were compared in the final part of the thesis. The first part of the thesis is primarily concerned with establishing the basic concepts and describing the current situation in a particular microregion, which is so specific that it needs to be given a considerable amount of space in this thesis. The subsequent section of the thesis is focused on the questionnaire survey, the guided interview, and the work with the resulting data. The final part of the thesis presents my suggestions. Here, I will attempt to draw a conclusion from the sources and information I have collected as to how this area of tourism is currently performing, what would be appropriate for lookout tower tourism to do in order to attract more people, and what should be avoided, including the viewpoint of the leading Czech association, Klub přátel rozhleden (The Lookout Towers Friends Club).
