Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu Austrálie a Nového Zélandu na bezpečnost a stabilitu v asijsko-pacifickém regionu a s tím souvisejícím členstvím těchto států v mezinárodních integračních a vojenských uskupeních. Stěžejním tématem práce je současná bezpečnostní politika Austrálie a Nového Zélandu. Z dlouhodobého hlediska je zkoumána zahraniční politika těchto států, která kromě vlastních ekonomických a bezpečnostních zájmů sleduje také zintenzivnění spolupráce se zeměmi asijsko-pacifického regionu v zájmu posílení bezpečnosti, stability a prosperity celého regionu. Význam těchto aktivit je ilustrován prostřednictvím případové studie na téma vojenské a humanitární intervence ve Východním Timoru. Závěrem je na základě výzkumu vyhodnocen význam australské a novozélandské zahraniční i vnitřní politiky na bezpečnost asijsko-pacifického regionu.

Abstract:

This Bachelor Degree Thesis analyzes the significance of Australian and New Zealand Foreign Policy on security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and related membership of these countries in international integrations and military organizations. The primary subject of this thesis is actual security policy of Australia and New Zealand. In the long-term view the Australian and New Zealand foreign policy, besides their own national economic and security interests, also focuses on intensifying the cooperation among countries of the Asia-Pacific region to strengthen security, stability and prosperity throughout the region. The importance of these activities is illustrated through the case study focused on conflict in East Timor and following military and humanitarian intervention of coalition forces. Based on research the conclusion assess the importance of the Australian and New Zealand foreign and internal policies on complex security situation of the entire Asia-Pacific region.
