Abstract:
This final-year dissertation compares and contrasts the use and treatment of Gothic elements in the novels: Northanger Abbey (1818) by Jane Austen, Jane Eyre (1847) by Charlotte Bronte and Wuthering Heights (1847) by Emily Bronte.
