The state of health of people in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zdravotním stavem populace České republiky. Zdraví patří k jedné z nejdůležitějších hodnot lidského života, je tedy zapotřebí mu věnovat zvýšenou pozornost. Práce se zaměřuje na tři konkrétní oblasti. První, teoretická část se soustředí na pojmy související se zdravotním stavem, jako je zdraví, determinanty zdraví, druhy prevence dále pak na analýzu a sledování zdravotního stavu. Další část se věnuje výběrovému šetření European Health Examination Survey (EHES), které proběhlo naposledy v České republice v roce 2014. Šetření je zaměřeno především na rizikové faktory vzniku kardiovaskulárních onemocnění, jako jsou např. hypertenze, diabetes a nadváha a rizikové faktory životního stylu, mezi které spadá kouření, fyzická aktivita a stravovací návyky. Cílem práce je tak podrobně zhodnotit naměřené výsledky tohoto šetření. Poslední část práce je věnována vývoji vybraných demografických ukazatelů zdravotního stavu obyvatelstva, jako je úmrtnost nebo pracovní neschopnost.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the state of health of people in the Czech Republic. Health is one of the most important values in human life so that is why we need to pay it increased attention. The thesis concentrates on three specifically areas. The first, theoretical part concerns the definition of key terms relate with the state of health such as health, the determinant of health, the types of prevention, the analysis and monitoring of the state of health. The next part engages to European Health Examination Survey (EHES) that was organised in the Czech Republic in 2014. The survey focuses primarily on risk factors of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and overweight, and lifestyle risk factors such as smoking, physical activity and eating habits. The thesis aim at a detailed discription of the measured results of this survey. The last part focuses at the development of selected demographic indicators of the state of health of people.
