Uprising of the Bohemian estates in the view of Pavel Skála ze Zhoře

Abstract:

Tato studie se věnuje problematice Stavovského povstání očima Pavla Skály ze Zhoře. V práci se pokazuje na životopis právě jmenovaného spisovatele od osobního života politického až po jeho dílo. Dále se nastiňuje situace zemí Koruny české právě před stavovským povstáním a k pochopení celkové situaci proč k tomu celému vlastně došlo. Pavel měl tu jedinečnou možnost jako svědek celou tuto dobu písemně z pozice historika zachytit a vlastně i zažít. V neposlední řádě, lze najít také porovnání moderních historiků. Závěrem jsou shrnuta nejdůležitější fakta a je zdůrazněn přínos této práce pro další historické bádání.

Abstract:

This study deals with the problems of the Estates Uprising with the eyes of Pavel Skalka from the Upper. The thesis goes to the curriculum vitae of the just-named writer from personal political life to his work. It also outlines the situation of the Bohemian Crown countries just before the Estates' uprising and the understanding of the overall situation why the whole thing actually happened. Paul had the unique opportunity of witnessing all this time in writing from the position of the historian to capture and actually experience. Last but not least, a comparison of modern historians can also be found. In conclusion, the most important facts are summarized and the contribution of this work to further historical research is emphasized.
