Options for Antenna System Integration into Digital Television Receiver

Abstract:

V textu je proveden rozbor možností pro integraci anténního systému do přijímače digitální televize a navržen anténní systém pro vestavěný příjem. Závěry rozboru vycházejí z vlastností rádiových kanálů, kterými se signál digitální televize šíří, a dále z podmínek specifických pro v podstatě přenosný příjem. Je provedena rešerše anténních zářičů, které jsou svými vlastnostmi vhodné pro integrovaný příjem. Je zdůrazněna problematika elektricky malých antén a šířky pásma potřebné pro příjem v televizních pásmech používaných pro digitální vysílání. Speciálně jsou diskutovány vícebranové antény v souvislosti s možnostmi diverzitního příjmu. Dále jsou v textu analyzovány vlastnosti diverzitních systémů. Významná pozornost je věnována možnosti využití stávajících vodivých struktur přijímače a konformních struktur pro realizaci vestavěného anténního systému. V této souvislosti je aplikována teorie charakteristických vidů. Je navržen anténní systém realizující příjem digitální televize s využitím šasi přijímače a aplikující princip vícebranové antény pro diverzitní příjem.

Abstract:

Analysis of options for antenna system integration into digital television receiver is carried out and antenna system for embedded reception is proposed in the text. The presented conclusions arise from the properties of radio channels through which the signal of digital broadcasting propagates, and further from the conditions specific for the, essentially, portable reception. A recherché is performed of antenna radiators that, regarding their properties, are suitable for integrated reception. Issues of electrically small antennas and the bandwidth needed for the reception within the frequency bands used for digital broadcasting are emphasised. Especially, multiport antennas are discussed in connection with options of diversity reception. Properties of diversity systems are also analysed in the text. Significant attention is paid to applicability of existing conducting structures in receiver and of conform structures for realization of embedded antenna system. In this context, the theory of characteristic modes is applied. An antenna system is proposed realizing the digital television reception that makes use of receiver chassis and applies the multiport-antenna technique for diversity reception.
