Wage inequality in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem mzdové nerovnosti v České republice. Hlavním cílem je zanalyzovat důležité faktory a vlivy způsobující rozdíly ve mzdách a pracovních důchodech. Závěrečná práce je rozdělena do rešerše zdrojů, výzkumné části a závěru. Rešerše zdrojů popisuje klíčová slova diplomové práce. Použitými zdroji byla odborná literatura a data zveřejněna Českým statistickým úřadem. Výzkumná část se zabývá mzdovou nerovností dle ekonomických činností, vzdělání, pohlaví a mezi kraji České republiky. Další část výzkumu je zaměřena na porovnání České a Slovenské republiky. V závěru jsou odpovědi na jednotlivé výzkumné otázky.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of wage inequality in the Czech Republic. The main objective is to analyze the important factors and influences causing differences in wages and working pensions. The final thesis is divided into research of sources, research part and conclusion. The literature search describes the key words of the thesis. The sources used were professional literature and data published by the Czech Statistical Office. The research part deals with wage inequality according to economic activities, education, sex and between regions of the Czech Republic. Another part of the research is focused on the comparison of the Czech and Slovak Republics. In conclusion there are answers to individual research questions.
