Czech solo and chamber compositions for the trumpet composed from 1950 to 2016

Abstract:

Magisterská práce pojednává o skladbách pro trubku českých autorů od roku 1950 do roku 2016, a to v obsazení do pěti nástrojů, včetně sólových a komorních kompozic pro trubku s orchestrem. Cílem práce je kompilace informací o dílech z obecně dostupných zdrojů, jejich detekce, klasifikace a souhrn v přehledném katalogu rozděleném do sedmi oddílů dle obsazení. Každému oddílu předchází úvod informující o počtu skladeb a jejich autorů, o notovém materiálu, o uskutečněných premiérách a o existujících nahrávkách. U jednotlivých děl jsou, kromě názvu, k dispozici také údaje o roku vzniku, obsazení, časovém rozsahu, notových materiálech, premiérách, nahrávkách, dedikaci nebo uvedeních na významných festivalech či soutěžích.

Abstract:

This Diploma thesis studies compositions for trumpet by Czech authors created between 1950 and 2016, casting five instruments at most including solo and chamber compositions for trumpet with an orchestra. The aim of this thesis is to compile information about the works from sources available to the general public, their subsequent detection, classification and a summary in a synoptical catalogue which is divided into seven chapters according to the cast of instruments. Every chapter begins with an introduction which provides information about the number of compositions and their composers, about the scores, performed premieres and existing recordings. Individual compositions are provided with information not only about the name but also about the year of origin, casting, time range, scores, premieres, recordings, dedications, or their featuring at major festivals or competitions.
