The Development of Trade Policy in Our Country after 1989

Abstract:

Diplomová práce shrnuje základní fakta o vývoji obchodní politiky v Československu po roce 1989 a následně poté v České republice. Zabývá se obchodní politikou, jejími nástroji a cíli. Popisuje transformaci československé a české ekonomiky v oblasti vnějších ekonomických vztahů, tedy přeměnu centrálně plánované ekonomiky na ekonomiku tržní. Zaměřuje se na změny, které byly spjaty s uvedenou transformací. V další části se diplomová práce zaměřuje na zahraničně obchodní politiku České republiky před vstupem do Evropské unie a na přípravy členství. Následně jsou popsány změny zahraničně obchodní politiky, které nastaly v České republice po jejím vstupu do Evropské unie.

Abstract:

This thesis summarizes the basic facts about the development of trade policy in Czechoslovakia after 1989 and, subsequently, in the Czech Republic. It deals with trade policy, its instruments and objectives. It describes the transformation of Czechoslovak and Czech economy's external economic relations, thus transformation of a centrally planned economy into a market economy. It focuses on the changes that were associated with the transformation. In the next part thesis focuses on the Foreign Trade Policy of the Czech Republic before joining the European Union and on the preparations for the membership. Afterwards foreign trade policy changes that occurred in the Czech Republic after its accession to the European Union are described.
