Tématem dizertační práce jsou chvály osob v česko-latinských kronikách 12. století u Kosmy a jeho pokračovatelů. Nejprve je podán stručný výklad o historii epideiktické literatury v antice a ve středověku, dále je detailně probrána enkómiastická topika a její výskyt ve středověkých kronikách. Abstract:
The present doctoral thesis deals with laudationes or laudes in Czech historiographical works of the 12th century, especially in the most important Czech–Latin chronicle Chronica Boemorum (1122–1125) written by Cosmas of Prague.
