The Lifecycle of the Tourist Destination Innsbruck

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce na téma „Životní cyklus destinace Innsbruck“ je určit současnou fázi životního cyklu této destinace a deskripce jednotlivých fází, jakými si prošla. Ke splnění napomohou dílčí cíle, a sice analýza návštěvnosti a analýza předpokladů rozvoje cestovního ruchu v destinaci. Práce je rozdělena do třech částí – teoreticko-metodologické, praktické a návrhové. Teoreticko-metodologická část se zaměřuje na vymezení základních pojmů, jako jsou destinace cestovního ruchu, předpoklady rozvoje cestovního ruchu a rozlišení pojmů účastník, turista, výletník a návštěvník cestovního ruchu. Klíčová část pojednává o teoretickém konceptu životního cyklu destinace s vymezením jednotlivých fází (objevení, vtažení, rozvoj, konsolidace, stagnace, poststagnace). Analytická část se zabývá základními informacemi, historií města a cestovním ruchem v Innsbrucku. Další kapitola charakterizuje rozbor předpokladů rozvoje cestovního ruchu a rozbor návštěvnosti destinace. V závěru této části jsou shrnuty zjištěné poznatky a vyhodnocena aktuální fáze životního cyklu destinace Innsbruck s popisem jednotlivých fází. Poslední část je zaměřena na návrhové řešení spojené se zkvalitněním cestovního ruchu.

Abstract:

The main aim of the bachelor thesis focused on the topic “The Lifecycle of the Tourist Destination Innsbruck” is to determine a current situation of the together with a description of the key phases through which the destination already passed through. In order to achieve that will be used an analysis of the number of visitors and prerequisites of tourism in mentioned destination. The thesis is divided into three parts – theoretical, practical and proposed part. The theoretical part is focused on determination of essential notions such as tourism destination, prerequisites of tourism development and definition of tourism participant, tourist, day visitor and visitor. The key part of the thesis discusses a theoretical concept of destination life cycle which is defined by particular phases (exploration, engagement, development, consolidation, stagnation, poststagnation). The analytical part examines basic information about the destination, its history, and tourism of Innsbruck in general. Next chapter characterizing an analysis of prerequisites of tourism, and analysis of the number of visitors. In conclusion of the thesis, there are summarised findings and a current phase of the life cycle of the destination Innsbruck which has been also evaluated with a description of particular phases. The last part is focused on proposed solution regarding tourism quality improvement and thus improvement of mentioned destination life cycle.
