Cultural policy of the town of Bechyně

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem kulturní politiky v městě Bechyně. Práce je rozdělena na dvě základní části, teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou zpracována témata jako je kultura, kultura v ekonomickém rámci a její financování, ziskový či neziskový sektor. Stejně tak teoretická část pojednává dále o tématech kulturních institucí, kulturní politice v rámci samospráv či nástrojích kulturní politiky. Jsou rozebírána témata týkající se turismu či turistických organizací. V praktické části je provedeno dotazníkové šetření, které získává informace týkající se kulturní politiky města Bechyně, kde respondenti hodnotí různé pohledy na místní kulturní politiku. Cílem práce je zhodnocení vztahu mezi kulturní politikou a turistickým rozvojem města a analýza toho, jaký mají kulturní akce dopad na místní ekonomiku. Výstupem práce byl měl být návrh na posílení spolupráce mezi kulturními a turistickými organizacemi a poukázání na oblasti, kde mezi nimi může být lepší koordinace, aby se maximalizoval dopad kulturních akcí na turistický ruch a ekonomiku města Bechyně.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of cultural policy in the city of Bechyně. The thesis is divided into two basic parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with topics such as culture, culture in the economic framework and its financing, the profit or non-profit sector. Similarly, the theoretical part also deals with the topics of cultural institutions, cultural policy within local governments or cultural policy instruments. Topics related to tourism or tourism organisations are discussed. In the practical part, a questionnaire survey is conducted to obtain information concerning the cultural policy of the city of Bechyně, where respondents evaluate different views on local cultural policy. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the relationship between cultural policy and tourism development of the city and to analyse the impact of cultural events on the local economy. The output of the thesis was to suggest ways to strengthen cooperation between cultural and tourist organisations and to highlight areas where there could be better coordination between them in order to maximise the impact of cultural events on tourism and the economy of Bechyně.
