Analysis of a possibility of a support for a pupil with Asperger s syndrome in a determined elementary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou možností podpory žáka s Aspergerovým syndromem v dané základní škole. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část se skládá ze tří kapitol, z nichž první se věnuje pojmům školní zralosti, integrace žáka do běžné základní školy a v neposlední řadě legislativnímu opatření. Navazuje na ni kapitola, ve které je popsána charakteristika Aspergerova syndromu, jeho etiologie, symptomatologie a diagnostika. Poslední kapitola je zaměřena na vzdělávání a rozvoj jedinců s tímto postižením. Věnuje se specifikám edukace žáků s poruchou autistického spektra a rozvojem komunikačních schopností. V poslední části této kapitoly je popsána metodická a poradenská pomoc těmto jedincům. Praktická část obsahuje výzkumné šetření, které analyzuje možnosti podpory žáka s Aspergerovým syndromem v dané základní škole. Součástí této kapitoly je případová studie žáka osmé třídy a touto diagnózou. K empirické části bylo zvolen kvalitativní šetření, které probíhalo pomocí rozhovorů a aktivního pozorování.

Abstract:

This dissertation deals with an analysis of the possibilities of supporting a pupil with Asperger syndrome in a particular primary school. The work is divided into two parts – the theoretical and the empirical. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first one focuses on terms related to school maturity, integration of a pupil to a mainstream school and also legislative measures. The following chapter considers the characterization of Asperger syndrome, its aetiology, symptomatology and diagnostics. The last chapter concerns education and development of children with this disability. It deals with specifics of education of pupils with autistic spectrum disorder and development of communication skills. In the very last part of this chapter is described methodological and advisory support of these individuals. The practical part consists of a research which analyses the possibilities of supporting a pupil with Asperger syndrome in an upper section of the given primary school. This part includes a case study of a pupil from the eighth class with this diagnosis. For the empirical part was chosen a qualitative investigation, that was conducted by means of talks and an active observation.
