Complex study of Al-Ge-Mg-Sn system

Abstract:

Cílem této je práce je sestavit termodynamickou databázi obsahující data pro popis systému Al-Ge-Mg-Sn. Toho bylo dosaženo s využitím dostupných dat dvou ternárních systémů, Al-Ge-Sn a Al-Ge-Mg. Pro studium systému Al-Ge-Mg bylo připraveno několik vzorků slitin, které byly studovány pomocí skenovací elektronové mikroskopie s energiově disperzním spektrometrem (SEM-EDX) a pomocí metod termické analýzy. Na základě těchto a v literatuře dostupných dat byly pro oba ternární systémy sestaveny termodynamické databáze a modelovány jejich fázové diagramy.

Abstract:

The goal of this study is the creation of a thermodynamic database containing Al-Ge-Mg-Sn system data. This was accomplished using available data on two ternary systems, Al-Ge-Sn and Al-Ge-Mg. In the case of the latter one, the samples of alloys were prepared and studied using Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-Ray Analysis (SEM-EDX) and thermal analysis. Based on these and literature data, the thermodynamic databases for both ternary systems were created, and phase diagrams were modelled.
