Medicinal use of nanoparticles and risks associated with their in vivo application

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na využití nanočástic v medicíně, především jejich in vivo aplikaci. V terapeutické části jsou popsány systémy doručování léčiv a genů, magnetická hypertermie a antioxidační a antimikrobiální účinky nanočástic. Dále jsou v práci uvedeny nanočástice využitelné jako kontrastní látky pro zobrazovací metody. Je zde zmíněno také tkáňové inženýrství, které je slibným uplatněním nanotechnologií v regenerativní medicíně. Popsána jsou rovněž rizika spojená s aplikací nanočástic do organismu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the in vivo application of nanoparticles in medicine. Drug and gene delivery systems, magnetic hyperthermia and antioxidant and antimicrobial effects of nanoparticles are described there. The nanoparticles as contrast agents for in vivo imaging are mentioned there too. Tissue engineering, as a promising area of nanotechnology in regenerative medicine, together with nanomedicine-associated risks are reported there as well.
